LONDON -- Desire Petroleum has awarded Diamond Offshore Drilling (UK) a contract for a four-well drilling campaign in the North Falkland basin using the semisub Ocean Guardian.
The contract includes options for a further six wells for Desire or its partners. The rig is scheduled to mobilize from North Sea waters in late November, following scheduled shipyard work. It is expected to spud the first well in February 2010.
Desire has contracted AGR Petroleum Services for well construction technical work and operations management for the upcoming drilling program.
