PSA grants StatoilHydro, Marathon drilling consent

STAVANGER -- The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) has granted StatoilHydro consent to drill 34/10-53 S well and 34/10-53 A sidetrack on the Gullfaks field using the semisub Deepsea Atlantic.

The drilling program is estimated to last 141 days.

The PSA has also granted Marathon Petroleum Norge consent to drill the 24/9-P-3 H , 24/9-P-3 AH, 24/9-P-2 H, 24/9-P-2 AY1H, and 24/9-P-2 AY2H wells on the Volund field using semisub Songa Dee

The production drilling program is expected to last 168 days.
