Reliance Industries Ltd. (RIL) has made its third successive gas discovery in block KG-DWN-2003/1 (KG-V-D3) in the Krishna basin, offshore India.

MUMBAI -- Reliance Industries Ltd. (RIL) has made its third successive gas discovery in block KG-DWN-2003/1 (KG-V-D3) in the Krishna basin, offshore India.
Well KGV-D3-R1 was drilled to a total measured depth of 4,113 m (13,494 ft). The well encountered three reservoir zones at the Miocene level with gross thicknesses of 4, 23, and 16 m (13, 75, and 52 ft).
The company is currently gathering data to determine the commerciality of the discovery.
