West Alpha to drill North Sea 35/9-5wildcat

The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) has issued Nexen Exploration Norge a permit to drill wildcat well 35/9-5 in production license 419 using the semisub West Alpha.

STAVANGER, Norway -- The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) has issued Nexen Exploration Norge a permit to drill wildcat well 35/9-5 in production license 419 using the semisub West Alpha.

Production license consists of part of block 35/9, west of the Gjøa field.
