HOUSTON -- ATP Oil & Gas Corp. has completed testing of the W3z ”Bodbury” prospect exploratory well from a previously untested fault block on the Wenlock field in block 49/12 North in the UK North Sea.

The well was completed in the Leman sandstone at a depth of 15,437 ft (4,705 m) MD and flow tested at a stabilized 59 MMcf/d at a flowing wellhead pressure of 2,800 psig, the company reports.

The maximum tested rate of the 3,000-ft (914-m) horizontal well was restricted by separator limitations. W3z is the third well drilled from the Wenlock platform and should be onstream later this month, according to ATP.
