WELLINGTON, New Zealand -- The jackup ENSCO-107 is scheduled to spud the Albacore-1 exploration well this week, according to New Zealand Oil and Gas.
The drilling program is expected to take around 20 days. The well, located in the Taranaki basin, will be drilled in 95 m (312 ft) of water to a total of depth of 2,200 m (7,218 ft), targeting three separate zones.
