Jackup Pride Cabinda spuds well off Congo

STOCKHOLM -- The jackup Pride Cabinda has spudded the Liyeke Marine-1 exploration well in block Marine XI offshore the Republic of the Congo.
The well’s planned depth is approximately 1,130 m (3,707 ft) below mean sea level. The drilling operation is expected to take 25 to 35 days, with testing additional in the event of success, the company says.
The well is targeting a post-salt, Sendji formation reservoir. Lundin Petroleum estimates gross unrisked prospective resources of 73 MMboe.
