NPD grants StatoilHydro, BG Norge drilling permits

The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) has granted StatoilHydro Petroleum a permit to drill wildcat well 30/9-24 in production license 079 using the semisub Transocean Leader.

STAVANGER -- The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) has granted StatoilHydro Petroleum a permit to drill wildcat well 30/9-24 in production license 079 using the semisub Transocean Leader.

The NPD has also issued BG Norge a permit to drill appraisal well 17/12-4 B using the semisub West Alpha. The license area includes parts of blocks 17/12, 17/8, 17/9, 17/11, 18/7, and 18/10.
