HOUSTON-- Mexico’s Pemex has awarded Halliburton Co. a roughly $33.6-million contract to improve recovery rates for offshore oil wells, officials said.

Halliburton began working on the 790-day contract on Nov. 24, 2008.

“We view this as follow-through on Halliburton’s strategy of building strong NOC (national oil company) relationships and shifting overseas,” according to a bulletin from Pritchard Capital Partners.
