ATHENS -- Aegean Energy has brought on stream its latest development well in the Prinos North field in the Gulf of Kavala off northeast Greece.

Well PNA-H3 was drilled by the jackup Energy Exerter to a total measured depth of 4,370 m (14,337 ft) after a 135-day operation. It is the longest well drilled to date in a Greek field.

Aegean is now making preparations for a first well on the Epsilon field development in the same region, following approval from Greece’s Ministry of Development. Operations should get under way in September.
