The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate has granted StatoilHydro ASA a drilling permit to use the drilling rig Borgland Dolphin to drill an appraisal well in production license 089.

STAVANGER, Norway -- The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate has granted StatoilHydro ASA a drilling permit to use the drilling rig Borgland Dolphin to drill an appraisal well in production license 089.
The production license area consists of block 34/7, south of the Snorre field and northeast of the Vigdis field in the North Sea. StatoilHydro ASA is the operator with a 41.5% ownership interest. The other licensees are Petoro AS with 30%, ExxonMobil with 10.5%, Idemitsu with 9.6%, Total with 5.6 %, and RWE Dea with 2.8%.
