Talisman, ConocoPhillips receive North Sea consents

Talisman Energy Norge AS (TENAS) has consent to use the Mærsk Guardian on the Yme field.

STAVANGER, Norway -- Talisman Energy Norge AS (TENAS) has consent to use the Mærsk Guardian on the Yme field.

The company plans to drill the two top sections in three wells in the Beta area in March and April. The remaining sections will be drilled by theMærsk Giant, which will also complete the wells.

ConocoPhillips Skandinavia AS (COPSAS) has consent for disposal of the Ekofisk Tank, which will remain on the field with its protective wall.

The consent includes cleaning of cells, storage of equipment on the 30-m (98-ft) deck, removal of equipment except for a crane on the protective wall, installation of solar cells to operate navigation equipment, and marking and painting of the helicopter landing site.

The work is planned for completion by the end of April.
