CALGARY, Canada -- Flow testing of the Endeavour well offshore Trinidad on the Intrepid block 5(c) has begun, according to Canadian Superior. Early results have confirmed a natural gas discovery, the company says.

During the initial flowing period of approximately 16 hours, the well tested at a peak flow rate of 60.1 MMcf/d. A final flow rate of 56.4 MMcf/d was measured with a 48/64-in. choke with a FWHP of 4122 psi, the company reports.

The well has flowed dry natural gas with a gas gravity of approximately 0.584, approximately 0.3% CO2 with no production of water, condensate or solids, during this initial flow period, the company says. Superior plans to conduct multiple flow rate testing over the next few days.

The semisubmersibleKan Tan IV drilled the discovery well on Aug, 28, 2008.
