Offshore staff

CALGARY, Canada – Sterling Resources has contracted the semisub Transocean Sedco 704 rig to drill an exploration well in the Cladhan area of the UK North Sea.

The rig should be available to Sterling in March, pending progress on it current program for Premier Oil.

The well will be the first drilled in a channel system in block 210/29c, which is immediately south of Sterling’s main Cladhan field inblocks 210/29a and 210/30a.
