BP brings in Polar Pioneer for Norwegian Sea wildcat

OSLO, Norway – Petroleum Safety Norway has authorized BP Norge to drill an exploration well in the Norwegian Sea.

The semisubmersiblePolar Pioneer will drill well 6507/3-9 on license PL212 E, targeting the Outer Snadd prospect in 364 m (1,194 ft) water depth. Drilling activity should last up to 60 days.
