ABERDEEN, UK – Expro has won a contract to provide equipment and services to support the 90-day extended well test on the Bentley field in the UK northern North Sea. Bentley, operated by Xcite Energy, is in block 9/3b, 160 km (99 mi) east of the Shetlands. It has reserves estimated at 116 MMbbl.
Expro is providing heavy oil well testing and data management services through drilling and completions contractor ADTI on the jackupRowan Norway. The contract is valued at about $12 million.
The early production/extended well test is designed to deliver data to help model the potential of the reservoir, generate early cash flow, and allow optimization of permanent facility designs.
