TRONDHEIM, Norway – Core samples from the latest appraisal well on the Johan Sverdrup field offshore Norway confirm the presence of oil, according to partner Det norske oljeselskap.

Statoil is drilling well 16/2-14 on the Espever High in license PL 265. Drilling operations continue, and final results are therefore not yet available.
