OSLO, Norway --Eni Norge has consent from Petroleum Safety Authority Norway to use the semisubmersible rig Transocean Spitsbergen for production drilling in the Norwegian Sea.
This concerns drilling and completion of a side track on apreviously drilled producer well on the Marulk field which came onstream earlier this year.
Marulk is 225 km (140 mi) west-northwest of Brønnøysund and 25 km (15.5 mi) southwest of the Norne field. It has beendeveloped with a subsea facility tied to the Norne FPSO, in a water depth of 367 m (1,204 ft).
The program should start this month and take 88 days to complete.
