WOKING, UK – Apache has completed drilling of the Tryfan prospect in the UK northern North Sea block 3/17.

According to partner Valiant Petroleum, the well encountered both Frigg and Dornoch sandstones on prognosis with a small gas column present at the top of the Frigg formation. However, this was interpreted to be sub-commercial.

The well will be P&A’d.
