Statoil goes with KCA DEUTAG for North Sea platform rig support

ABERDEEN, UK –Statoil has awarded KCA DEUTAG contracts for drilling operations, maintenance services, and engineering support offshore Norway.
The contract extends to continental shelf fields Gullfaks and Oseberg, encompassing seven platform drilling rigs. The terms are for four years with an option to extend by three periods of two years each.
KCA DEUTAG also operates the Kvitebjørn platform drilling rig for Statoil.
