OSLO, Norway – Det norske oljeselskap has spudded the Geite exploration well in license PL497 in the Norwegian North Sea.
The jackupMaersk Guardian is drilling well 7/11-13, 30 km (18.6 mi) west of the BP-operated Ula field, targeting a Triassic reservoir.
Bridge has a 15% interest in the well (pending government approval of15% farm-down to Agora). The company is also participating in the current Contender and Garantiana exploration wells in the UK and Norwegian sectors, with another well to come this year on Norwegian license PL457.
