MOSCOW –Eurasia Drilling Co. (EDC) has updated its activities in the Caspian Sea.
During the first half of this year, the contractor’sASTRA jackup rig was in Kazakh waters drilling on N block.
Over the same period in the Russian sector, EDC drilled and completed four extended-reach horizontal development wells from Lukoil’s Yuri Korchagin field platform.
TheSaturn jackup rig continued operations for Petronas Carigali in Turkmen waters, drilling one well and three geological side tracks.
At Lamprell’s shipyard in UAE, modules for EDC’s newbuild jackup rig were being readied for shipment to the Caspian Sea. In April, EDC contracted Lamprell to build a further jackup for Caspian operations.
