ABERDEEN, UK –TWMA has started working with the Norwegian Oil Industry Association to establish new best practice standards for treating drilling waste offshore at the source.

OLF has created a joint industry project steering group to coordinate efforts by operators to set protocols for handling and treating drilling waste on the Norwegian continental shelf.

TWMA has provided samples to the steering group from its Mongstad facility in Norway and from ongoing offshore operations in the UK North Sea, which will be independently tested, with the results shared among the group members.
