CONSTANTA, Romania – GSP has expanded its drilling fleet to eight rigs by acquiring the jackup GSP Magellan (ex-GSF Magellan).
The ABS classed, Friede & Goldman L-780 Mod V drilling rig has three 496-ft (151-m) long legs, with a cantilever envelope of 58 x 30 ft (17.7 x 9.1 m) and accommodation for 116 people. It can operate in water depths up to 350 ft (107 m) with 10,400 kips maximum variable load (drilling).
