Gaz De France proves up G16a field

Test results from the G16-7 well on the Netherlands part of the Continental Shelf have proved new reserves of gas in field G16a, according to Gaz De France.

PARIS -- Test results from the G16-7 well on the Netherlands part of the Continental Shelf have proved new reserves of gas in field G16a, according to Gaz De France. Over 2 MMcm/d (70 MMcf/d) was produced from a depth of approximately 3,500 m (11,483 ft).

The company intends to bring the well on stream as quickly as possible. The gas will be evacuated through and treated on the G17d-AP treatment platform. It will go through the Noordgastransport B.V. pipeline system to the municipality of Eemsmond in the province of Groningen.
