Schlumberger wins drilling services contract

STAVANGER -- StatoilHydro has awarded Schlumberger Norge a two-year, $180-million contract for integrated drilling services. The contract, effective Sept. 1, covers operations at Statfjord, Snorre, Gullfaks, Visund, and Gjøa, and includes exploration drilling on the Norwegian continental shelf.

The agreement covers delivery of directional drilling, measurement while drilling (MWD), logging while drilling (LWD), and mud logging services.

The contract has two optional extensions, each for two years.
