LYSAKER, Norway –Semisubmersible rig SS-54 is on its way from the Santos basin to block BM-CAL-6 off Bahia in Brazil for Norse Energy Corp.

Plans are for the rig to begin drilling shortly at the Peroba prospect in 1,170 m (3,839 ft) of water targeting upper Cretaceous sandstones. Following Peroba, the rig is scheduled to drill prospects at Copaiba and Jequitiba.
