Aker Exploration has acquired StatoilHydro's 30% interest in Production License PL 460 in the Norwegian North Sea.

OSLO, Norway --Aker Exploration has acquired StatoilHydro's 30% interest in Production License PL 460 in the Norwegian North Sea.
Aker already had a 30% stake in the license, covering parts of blocks 25/1, 25/2 and 24/3, which was issued under Norway's APA 2007 awards. Det norske Oljeseskap is the operator with a 40% interest.
The partners had committed to drilling an exploration well within two years of the award. Aker Exploration has a long-term drilling agreement with Aker Drilling for use of the latter's new sixth generation semisubmersibleAker Barents.
