CALGARY, Canada --Fox Petroleum is set to drill the Bourbon prospect in UK North Sea block 211/17.

The company has a letter of commitment with oil service group Senergy to use the semi-subByford Dolphin for the well during a 22-day slot this fall.

Fox believes that well 211/17-3, drilled in the 1980s, was a discovery which encountered an oil-water transition zone. The new well will be drilled in an up-dip location.

Recently analysts Aimwell Energy estimated Bourbon's recoverable resources at over 160 MM bbl of oil.
