NEW ORLEANS -- Energy Partners has made a discovery in the Bay Marchand field on the Gulf of Mexico shelf. Drilling of a third well in the program has begun.
The moderate risk, moderate potential South Timbalier 23 (ST 23) #CC-15st exploratory well was drilled to a total depth of 10,076 ft (3,071 m) and encountered four hydrocarbon bearing sands.
The discovery well is expected to be online in the second quarter.
