HAWERA, New Zealand -- Kupe Joint Venture has P&A'd the Momoho 1 exploration well, offshore Taranaki basin, New Zealand.
A two-stage cement plug has been placed across the entire open-hole section from 3,145 m (10,318 ft) below rotary table back to 2,767 m (9,078 ft) RT. The plug was pressure tested to 1,550 psi (10.7 MPa) and tagged to verify the depth.
The 9-5/8 in, 13-3/8 in, 18-5/8 in, and 30 in casing strings have been cut sequentially, just below the seabed, and the surplus casing removed.
