Offshore staff
STAVANGER -- StatoilHydro has received consent for exploration drilling in the Barents Sea with the mobile rig Polar Pioneer.
The consent applies to drilling of exploration well 7222/11-1, Caurus, in production license 228. Water depth at the site is 357 m (1,171 ft).
The start-up of the 45-day drilling program depends on the progress ofPolar Pioneer's ongoing drilling activity at Arenaria. Spudding is scheduled for August 2008.
