Transocean Winner spuds Trow prospect

The semisubmersible Transocean Winner has spudded the Trow prospect (well 32/2-1) in PL 369, according to Talisman Energy.

TRONDHEIM, Norway -- The semisubmersible Transocean Winner has spudded the Trow prospect (well 32/2-1) in PL 369, according to Talisman Energy. The exploration well, east of the Troll field, is aiming for hydrocarbons in Jurassic sandstones.

Det norske estimates that Trow could hold 100 MMboe, with a discovery probability of 20%.

The drilling operation is expected to take about 28 days.
