MOSCOW -- TsentrCaspneftegaz, a joint venture set up by Gazprom and LUKOIL on a parity basis, has what it calls a major oil and gas condensate field discovery within the Tsentralnaya structure. The structure is in the central Middle Caspian Sea on the border between Russia and Kazakhstan.
During the field survey a sweet crude oil flow to surface occurred. Currently, well surveying is under way. Plans call for 3D seismic operations to define the reservoir size and contours.
