SBM to move Capixaba to Cachalote for Petrobras

Petrobras has given SBM Offshore a letter of intent to lease and operate the FPSO Capixaba for 12 years at Cachalote field offshore Brazil.

SCHIEDAM, Netherlands -- Petrobras has given SBM Offshore a letter of intent to lease and operate the FPSO Capixaba for 12 years at Cachalote field offshore Brazil.

TheCapixaba will disconnect from its current location at the Golfinho field offshore Brazil. It will be modified and upgraded for the new application and then will transfer back to Brazil for offshore hook up, installation and operation on the Cachalote, says SBM.

The execution schedule extends for a period of eight months, from planned disconnection at the Golfinho field in June 2009, to first oil on the Cachalote field in February 2010.
