Petrobras makes Jupiter discovery

Petrobras has made a discovery with the Jupiter well 1-BRSA-559-RJS (1-RJS-652) in the Santos basin's pre-salt layer.

RIO DE JANEIRO -- Petrobras has made a discovery with the Jupiter well 1-BRSA-559-RJS (1-RJS-652) in the Santos basin's pre-salt layer. The discovery well was drilled to 5,252 m (17,231 ft) total depth and encountered hydrocarbon-bearing rock measuring more than 120-m (394-ft) thick, according to Petrobras.

A discovery assessment plan is under way and it will be forwarded to the NPA.
