RIO DE JANEIRO – Petrobras has a new oil discovery in the Santos basin, according to partner BG Group.
The 4-BRSA-818 (4-RJS-668) well on the Macunaíma structure was drilled in a water depth of 2,134 m, 244 km off the coast of Rio de Janeiro state, in block BM-S-10. It flowed 26 º API oil.
Evaluation will continue, in line with the National Petroleum Agency (ANP)-approved appraisal plan.
