Wintershall lines up North Sea target

OSLO, Norway -- Wintershall Norge has approval from Petroleum Safety Authority Norway for a program of exploration drilling in the Norwegian North Sea.

The semisubmersibleSonga Delta will drill well 35/12-4S in license 378, 34 km (21 mi) north of Troll C, in a water depth of 360 m (1,181 ft).

Drilling should start next month and last 43 days, extendable to 87 days if discoveries result that, necessitate formation testing or drilling of a side track.
