OSLO, Norway -- The semisubmersible West Phoenix has started drilling the Norvarg prospect in the Norwegian Barents Sea in license Barents Sea.

Total E&P Norge is the license operator, in partnership with Det norske oljeselskap, North Energy, and Rocksource.

The latter is also a partner in the AGC Profond production-sharing contract off northwest Africa. Here drilling of the Kora prospect has been delayed until late May, due to prolonged operations at the rig's current location.
