ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan -- Dragon Oil has completed drilling and initial testing of the Dzheitune (Lam) B/157 development well in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea.
The well was drilled to 2,900 m (9,514 ft) by the Iran Khazar rig and completed as a single producer. It initially flowed 1,767 b/d of oil on test. It was the sixth producer Dragon has brought on line this year.
Iran Khazar has since skidded to the platform’s next slot and spud the Dzheitune (Lam) B/159 well.
Elsewhere, the NIS rig is drilling the Dzheitune (Lam) 28/158 well.
