Det norske to test waters south of Norne

Det norske oljeselskap will drill a wildcat 5 km (3.1 mi) south of the Norne field in the Norwegian Sea, following clearance from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate.

OSLO, Norway -- Det norske oljeselskap will drill a wildcat 5 km (3.1 mi) south of the Norne field in the Norwegian Sea, following clearance from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate.

The semisubmersible rig Aker Barents will drill well 6508/1-2, the first in production license 482, which was awarded under Norway’s APA 2007 licensing round. The license area takes in part of block 6508/1.
