Total cleared for offshore Norway appraisal drilling

OSLO, Norway – The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate has authorized Total to drill an appraisal well on license PL 535 offshore Norway.

The semisubmersibleLeiv Eiriksson will drill well 7225/3-2.

This will be the second well on the license, which was awarded in 2009 under Norway’s 20th licensing round. The license comprises blocks 7225/3 and 7226/1.
