STAVANGER, Norway – Statoil has awarded two long-term mechanical wireline service contracts to Norwegian companies.
ALTUS Intervention has a 10-year frame agreement valued at around NOK 1.2 billion ($142 million), which runs from Feb. 1, 2017.
The company will provide mechanical wireline and fishing services, and optional cased hole logging and tractor conveyance, for 16 fixed installations: Gina Krog, Grane, Gudrun, Heidrun, Heimdal,Johan Sverdrup, Kvitebjørn, Oseberg (B, C, H, East and South), Troll, Valemon, Veslefrikk, and Visund.
DeepWell has a four-year contract, valued at more than NOK1 billion ($118 million), plus three two-year extension options, to provide mechanical wireline services for 10 fixed platforms and 11 mobile drilling units.
The platforms are Gullfaks A, B, and C; Statfjord A, B, and C; Snorre A and B; and Sleipner A and Vest.
An additional optional scope covers logging and other conveyance services.
DeepWell’s existing contract with Statoil dates back to 2009. The company says it is committed to helping the operator achieve increased efficiency and reduce its overall costs, via systems and technology that are said to allow for faster and more precise work and reduced personnel on board.
