The UWG Group says that by using its pressure riser to drill the 110/3c-e well in Morecambe Bay off the East Irish Sea, Global SantaFe reduced complexities and cut down on time and the inventory stored on the jackup. The riser, which was originally developed for the South Everest Field, was used to run the subsea tree, perform completion operations, and drill the well. UWG also designed a subsea pump-in tee for the Global SantaFe project to increase the annular velocity in the riser.
