Brazil’s rig utilization rate has remained steady at 100% for drillships and semisubmersibles since May 2007. The jackup use fell in December 2007 when one rig entered the market, but returned to 100% in March 2008. This compares to the worldwide use rate which has hovered around 90% for the same period.
