Vår Energi contracts AGR for well control services

OSLO, Norway — Vår Energi has awarded AGR a long-term framework agreement to perform blowout and well control studies and associated services for the operator’s activities offshore Norway.

Duties will include blowout contingency planning services, well control emergency response, casing magnetization, and general transient flow analyses.

Initially, the AGR team will support a seven-well drilling campaign.

The contract, initially for five years, carries extension options.

Last summer, AGR and Add Energy combined their services for drilling, wells, reservoirs, carbon capture and storage, and geothermal under the AGR brand.
