Estimated duration of the well is about 75 days depending on evaluation of formations. Drilling was slated to start in mid-July.

The C-NLOPB said it appreciates the importance of the fishery sector and is committed to continuing to work with both the fishing and petroleum industries to identify and limit through dialogue and environmental assessment processes and ongoing dialogue.

It added that based on available information, Exxon Mobil has been in compliance with its conditions of authorization to date for the campaign.

Exxon Mobil has engaged directly with the FFAW directly, and a Fisheries Communications Plan was issued to the union, which requires operational updates to be provided as drilling progresses.
