LYNGBY, Denmark – Petrogas North Sea has exercised an option with Maersk Drilling for an appraisal well in the UK North Sea.
The harsh-environment jackup Maersk Resilient is set to spud the well on the Birgitta field around the end of this year, in direct continuation of the rig’s current work scope.
Drilling should last around 60 days, with an estimated contract value of $5.4 million.
The Maersk Resilient is a 350-ft (107-m), Gusto-engineered MSC CJ 50 jackup that has been operating for NAM in the UK sector.
