LYNGBY, Denmark – ONE-Dyas has contracted the harsh environment jackup Maersk Resolute to drill the IJssel and Clover exploration wells in the Dutch North Sea.

The 84-firm day contract, with two one-well options, is due to start next month. Value is around $6.9 million, excluding the fee for the potential use of the rig’s selective catalyst reduction system. This uses ammonia injection to convert NOx into water and oxygen, cutting NOx emissions by up to 98%, according to owner Maersk Drilling.

The Maersk Resolute is a 350-ft (107-m), Gusto-engineered MSC CJ50 rig that was delivered in 2008. It is currently operating offshore the Netherlands.
