Offshore staff
LONDON – Aquadrill LLC and a subsidiary of Vantage Holdings International have agreed to provide the managed pressure-drilling (MPD)-equipped drillship Capella for a two-well program offshore Indonesia.
Premier Oil Andaman will contract the vessel for one well and subcontract it to Repsol Andaman for a second well. There are options for two further wells.
Total value for the firm portion of the contract is estimated at around $42 million. Drilling should start in 1Q 2022 following relocation of the rig from its current contract in Malaysia to Indonesia, with work likely to continue into mid-3Q.
If the options are exercised and the work scope is similar to the firm wells, the rig should become available later in 2022 or early 2023. The estimated additional contract value is $37 million.
